Divine Trust

I spent some time today, looking through my prayer books and this prayer by Tosha Silver was the one that grabbed me:  “Change me Divine Beloved into One who trust where You guide me.  May I always have the faith to follow Your lead.  Let me bless life’s unfolding in all ways that are right for me.  May I always trust You.  May I always know We are One.”

It can be difficult to trust.  It can be even more difficult to STAY in trust.

I talk big, I tell people I trust in the Lord, and yet, secretly, I wonder.  Secretly, I think I’m not worthy?  Logically, I believe I am, but, in my heart, my doubts are big.  I frequently pray and hand over the big things, especially ones I feel helpless to work out.  But, the little things?  I don’t want to bug Him.  or so I thought.  I realized today, it’s because I don’t feel worthy to bring the little things before Him!  How many of us withhold the little things.  Not just from the Lord, but from our spouses, our loved ones.  I’ll bet, if you give yourself permission to feel it, you will realize, you don’t feel worthy to “bother” “them” with the little things.  I have an arm full of prayer warriors ready, willing and able to pray on my behalf  for something I request from them.  I almost NEVER “bother” them with the little things.  The thing is, it’s the little things that are the hardest to let go and let God!  It’s the little things that pile up and weigh a person down!  Divine Trust – it means Trust it ALL to Him.  All of it!!  I want to, I really, really do.  Will you pray with me? for all of us to have the faith to trust that He will lead us, even in the little things.
